This week on biology we went to our six flags trip, i really liked it because I had a lot of fun with my friends on the rides of the park. We also delivered our homework 3, it was big and I couldn’t finish it. Finally on Friday we had our lab practice, it was interesting because we got to see the strawberry’s DNA and I didn’t imagined it will look like that.

On this week we learned about the Bonet, for me it was a little bit difficult because we had to analyze really carefully the data. Also the teacher had a little chat about how we have been through the semester, she said that we learned new things and changed our point of view.

On this week, Monday the teacher gave us our final partial grades, my grade was really nice. On Wednesday we learned a new theme, the chromosomes, XXY, XY and XYY genes, I honestly got a little confused at first because it is a very large topic. Finally on Friday we made and activity about the different mutations when the baby is inside the mom’s body and some chromosomes go crazy, and also the diseases that this mutations can cause.

On this week on Monday we had the exam review, I honestly don’t like that much biology and the themes are difficult for me to learn. On Wednesday, we had our parcial exam, I got a 70, I felt it really confusing and difficult, most of the class failed. On Friday we had our lab practice that was about the photosynthesis, it was pretty interesting because in one step the teacher gave us a blue substance and when we blowed with a straw in it, it turned yellow. I really liked this week’s lab practice.

On this week we saw everything about RNA and DNA. We also saw the genetic code, how the RNA copies the information and ends up being a protein. We also made an activity about the photosynthesis. The teacher also explained us how to configure the genetic code with the chart that shows the letters.

On week 9 we saw the ATP energy, how does it works, what is it and many other things, I personally felt this theme a little bit difficult. Then on Wednesday we presented our project about the cell, my team and I got a really good grade, and then on Friday we didn’t had class.

This week on biology we saw more about the animal and plant cell, also we made and infographic about the article of the last parcial, we had to make a poster with «did you know». The teacher also explained us how to make the project, that is a 3D cell. On Friday we went to the lab and w had our practice, I honestly felt it was pretty hard because I didn’t understood well the practice that was about animal and plant cells.

Monday  

On Monday we saw all about the theme cell theory and the teacher explained us how scientist discovered the cell and how they made the microscope. We also learned about the theories of the cell.

Wednesday

On Wednesday we saw the prokaryotic and the Eukaryotic cell, how they were made, what similarities or differences they had, the parts that conform them etc.

Friday

On Friday we saw in more detail the parts of the cell and the teacher told us to play a game that helped you learn the parts of the cell more easy and faster.

Monday

We didn’t had class.

Wednesday

On Wednesday the teacher explained us about the Biomolecules and about the chains that we have in our DNA. She also explained us about the lipids, proteins, etc.

Friday

On Friday we didn’t had class because it was the green march.

Monday

On Monday we made a little review for the exam. The review was about the scientific method and I think it really helped me to understand it better.

Wednesday

On Wednesday we and our partial exam, and honestly I didn’t got a good grade, I think it was ‘cause I was a little bit distracted.

Friday

On Friday we went to the lab. The practice was about the proteins and different characteristics about the food. The only mistake we made was that we accidentally trowed a glass with hot water but we were all right.
